PANCAKES

Pancake Day is on Shrove Tuesday. It was on the 21st February.

You can make pancakes and toss them in a frying pan. There are pancake races everywhere.

At school we made some pancakes, it was great fun. If you want to try, here you have the recipe. Yummy!

PANCAKES

You will need:

Ingredients

180 g flour

2 eggs

200 ml milk

75 ml water

30 g melted butter

1 tbsp sugar

a pinch of salt

some extra butter for frying

Toppings: lemon, sugar, chocolate, jam…

Cooking tools

a frying pan

a bowl

a sieve

a whisk

a serving plate

a wooden spoon

Instructions

Mix the flour, milk, water, eggs, melted butter, sugar and salt.

Preheat some extra butter in the frying pan.

Pour about 1/4 cup batter into pan for each pancake.

Cook until pancakes begin to bubble.

Toss and cook for 1 to 2 minutes longer.

Serve with the topping you choose.
